The Bible study lectures on this page are given in adult Sunday school class but are also part of 2 larger works on the Contents and Theology of the Old Testament, and The Contents and Theology of the New Testament that I teach for High School. College, and Seminary classes. You can find the syllabus and material for those classes on the Bible tab of the website. I hope to be able soon to have these available in audio and document form. When they are done being edited, they will comprise 2 large volumes: The Theology of the OT will likely be 1800-2000 pages, and The Theology of the NT will be between 1000-1200 pages. I hope also to produce abbreviated versions of both these works. But they will be available for free for others to use on the website; and therefore can be easily abbreviated by those who wish to use them. These sermon lectures give an overview of the background, the authorship, the contents, the structure, the purpose, and the theology of every book of the Bible, along with a Scriptural and theological explanation of their place and purpose in the Canon of Holy Scripture. These Bible sermon lectures are the foundation of our Bible study and Family worship program every year in which we study the Old Testament and the New Testament consecutively year after year. I have done so now for over 30 years: first as a Christian, then a Seminary student, then also a husband, a home-school father of 10, a Reformed pastor, and also a College and Seminary professor. We read the OT over and over while studying OT Survey and Theology in one year; and then the following year we read the NT over and over while studying NT Survey and Theology. Presently in the 2019-2020 school year (from September 2019 through the summer of August 2020), we are studying the Old Testament. The reading and the studying of the Bible is, therefore, the foundation of our family worship, our daily life, our church ministry, our school curriculum, and our regular devotions.
