Introduction. The study of the New Testament is essential for the church today, for the formation of sound doctrine, for a godly Christian life, and the promotion of Reformation in the church and the nation. There are many valuable tools for the study of the New Testament, written from a variety of different theological views. Tragically, because of the widespread influence of false doctrine in the church, the New Testament Scriptures are often misrepresented by pastors and teachers in the Church or completely distorted by cults, false religions, and deviant forms of Christianity. Over the last 200 years of Biblical scholarship, the influences of Enlightenment paganism, Neo-Orthodoxy, Dispensationalism, and the subversive views of N.T. Wright has led many Christians to false ideas with regard to the content, the teaching, and the purpose of the New Testament Scriptures. I will be presenting here my own Puritan and Reformed view of the New Testament, its relationship to the Old Testament in the Biblical Canon, and how important a devoted reading and study of the New Testament (along with the Old Testament) is essential for a godly Christian life, the building of a godly Christian family, and the pursuit of reformation in the church and society. You will have a much better view of the New Testament if you listen to my Bible Study Lectures on the New Testament. I teach a class on New Testament Survey and Theology every other year, in which we read through the New Testament between 4-8 times over.

Commentaries and Other Resources on New Testament Books: There are thousands of commentaries and resources available to use for pastors, scholars, and Christians in studying the individual books of the Old Testament. It is important for folks to know the use and value of them as well as the theological viewpoints of the authors. Having lectured on the New Testament for over 20 years and reading through most of the commentaries written from the Early Church Fathers to the present, I have also preached expository sermon on many books of the New Testament including 440 sermons on the Gospel of Matthew, 190 sermons on Acts 1-12 (ongoing), 60 sermons on Galatians, 90 sermons on Ephesians, 50 on Philippians, 50 on Colossians, 20 on Philemon, 40 on Titus, 40 on James, and many Bible study series on the others. I intend to give my own recommendation and review of the best along with my own outlines and lectures as I am able. And I hope also to put all of my sermons and lectures on this website as time permits. I have written sermons and comments on every book of the New Testament, and it will take me years to have them put on this website in proper edited form.
